Czarina S. Alviar

Project M&E Officer

Ina is a dedicated and experienced community development worker focusing on community organising and project monitoring and evaluation.

Ina studied for a Bachelor’s degree at Miriam College in International Studies with a minor in Gender Studies, graduating in 2016. During this time, she volunteered for a Research and Advocacy Centre working on women’s rights and gender equality, an area she feels passionately about. Directly after graduating with her BA, she entered the graduate program at the University of the Philippines to study Community Development, which she is still studying.

Her interest in project monitoring grew soon after graduating college when she worked in M&E for an NGO working in disaster rehabilitation. During this time, she learnt a lot about community mobilisation, project design and M&E. After this, she moved into an HR role with the government where she stayed for 3 years. However, she missed community development work so when the vacancy at Dana Asia came up in M&E she jumped at the opportunity. Her organisational skills, patience and good communication skills with all stakeholders make her an excellent M&E Officer.

During her free time, she enjoys playing video games with her cats.
