Prometheus Siddiqui
Board MemberPrometheus has garnered over twelve years of experience in the global social business movement, having worked closely with Nobel Peace Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus in various executive and board capacities across Asia and Australia. Currently, he serves as a non-executive Board Member in Grameen Australia (pioneering a pilot Grameen-styled Microfinance Social Business initiative within Australia). Additionally, Prometheus serves on the board of Grameen Philippines (Grameen Pilipinas Microfinance Inc) and Dana Asia, with its diverse portfolio of social businesses in southeast Asia.
Background
Prior to relocating to Sydney in mid-2014, Prometheus worked in the senior management team of one of Bangladesh’s largest social business funds Chaired by Nobel Peace Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus.
At present, Prometheus works as Commercial Manager at Brockman Engineering, a part of the EVZ Group (ASX: EVZ). He has provided commercial advisory and project control services to support major infrastructure and utility projects in the state of New South Wales and others across Australia.
Complementing his extensive industry expertise, Prometheus has also been engaged as a sessional academic, lecturing at his alma mater, Victoria University, and other institutions such as the Asia Pacific International College and the Sydney Institute of Higher Education.
